Since 2010, FUCINA ITALIA has entered the port handling sector, taking advantage of the important and consolidated know-how gained on lifting machines and accessories in the industrial environment and adapting it to the demands and needs of new customers.

After a long initial work of study, prototyping and field tests, in close collaboration with the end users of the equipment and thanks to their contribution and practical advice deriving from the long experience in the sector, we have managed to have a wide and proprietary range of sleepers, sling bars and accessories, now optimized and used, for the unloading of different types of solid material from the holds of merchant ships to the quay and for subsequent handling.

The sling bars and accessories of our production are “multifunctional” and adaptable to various types of material to be handled, in particular: forest products (various types of raw and / or processed cellulose, in packs and / or rolls), aluminum ingots, raw, finished or semi-finished products of metal.

We can supply manual and / or automated machines and equipment.

FUCINA ITALIA srl designs, builds and certifies pressure vessels and is in possession of the PED H / H1 certification.

Over the years we have managed to carve out an important role in the design and construction of boiler works for plants in various industrial sectors, large thickness and diameter vessels including centrifugal separators for geothermal power plants and cooling hoods for the steel industry.

Fucina Italia has been operating for years in the production of packaging and transport systems for hazardous waste, with particular attention to cylindrical or prismatic metal containers for low and medium activity radioactive waste.

We take care of all the related aspects in detail such as:

Executive and construction design of the containers;
Construction of prototypes and mass production;
Approval according to ADR;
Qualification as
- IP2 and IP3 type package in accordance with the IAEA SSR-6 standard;
- container for transfer to the National Deposit pursuant to UNI-11196

For some years we have also been collaborating on the definition of a barrel for use as package B (U).
