OTHELLO (Oxygen-controlled Thermal Hydraulic Experimental Lead LOop) is a 2 MW loop-type test facility, designed to validate the performance and behaviour of @newcleo Lead-cooled Fast Reactor (LFR) primary system main components, including the Steam Generator.

The role of a Steam Generator in a nuclear reactor is to absorb the heat from the liquid lead coolant, boiling the water and producing steam that drives the turbine to generate electricity.
